Why was this site created?
According to the National Association of Consumer Agency Administrators, complaints about home improvement contractors topped the list of consumer complaints in 2004. Finding good, professional and ethical home service professionals should not be that hard. ReferredExcellence.com™ does the homework for you and we do it monthly, so you will always get a quality licensed company working on one of your most important assets.
Who is on this list?
High quality prescreened home service companies. Everything from architects to window washers. We have over 100 home service categories and list a minimum of three and a maximum of five quality service companies per category. Please see services available.
What criteria does a service company need to meet before they are accepted to the ReferredExcellence.com™ site?
Thorough background checks are initiated on each service company we consider. For a complete list of pre-screening requirements, please go to the about us section of the site.
How often are the companies reviewed?
We perform a monthly license check on the first of each month. We also perform a semi-annual bond, BBB and insurance evaluation based on the companies industry of service. We also look back three years and check for any civil judgments against the service company applying.
How can companies I have used be added to this site?
First thank you for allowing us to contact quality companies you have used, that is what this site is all about. If you would please go to the feedback section, in the drop down menu there is a service company referral heading, please provide us the name of the company, contact name and phone number.
What is the difference between a licensed service company and a non-licensed service company?
Licensing means the service professional is authorized by the state or local government to work within his or her trade or profession. Licensing requirements vary state-by-state, and not all trades or job sizes require a license.
I have seen other sites that link service companies to the public, why is this site different?
Here is why we are different, our site gives you the ability to locate a quality local prescreened service company in 20 seconds, the competitor's takes over 3 minutes (time is money!) We also allow you to see the service pro's whom will be contacting you about your project, not blindly waiting only to get inundated with numerous sales reps trying to sell you that they are the best for your project.
